MINNA GEORGE (b. 1981)
Minna George’s work can be described as organic and abstract. She hand mixes her own brightly coloured pigments before applying them to the canvas. She expressively uses a variety of layering techniques and mediums to add depth to her lively work.
Minna has enjoyed sell out shows in the UK and Worldwide; her collectors include Will Smith and Penelope Keith. Her work has also appeared at the National Portrait Gallery in London and features in Kuwait’s National Gallery’s permanent collection.
“The rhythm and visual depth achieved where the layers are more is the composition itself; ultimately the idea is to achieve maximum depth by adding and removing layers.”
